AaronSw: Is the intuitive hypertext editor finally here?
AaronSw: Contribute is a client-side app that lets end-users surf to any page on a site, edit it in Macromedia's WYSIWYG editor (tested on teachers, writers, and other non-geeks) and save it to the server using FTP. You can even drag and drop content in from apps like MS Office and it will convert it to sparking XHTML+CSS with the right acessibility attributes and elements.
AaronSw: It also supports off-line editing, locks, and version history.
AaronSw: I've sent a feature request asking them to consider PUT, WebDAV and scp support.
AaronSw: Is the intuitive hypertext editor finally here?
sandro: Hasn't it been here for a long time, in Amaya? It seem to be fine for Tim.
AaronSw: Amaya's nice, but I don't think it has the polish that a widely-used end user app needs and that Macromedia will provide.
sandro: Agreed. Personally, I find Amaya uncomfortable. (but that's a very hard-to-pin-down complaint.)
